Section 302

The President may, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 147 of this Constitution, appoint for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja a Minister who shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be delegated to him by the President, from time to time.

(The President of Nigeria has the power which has been given to him by section 147 of the 1999 Constitution, to appoint a Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja who will perform the functions which he, the President, may assign to him from time to time.)


Section 303

The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja shall comprise six area councils and the administrative and political structure thereof shall be as provided by an Act of the National Assembly.

(The FCT, Abuja will have 6 (six) Area Councils and the administrative and political structure of those councils will be provided by an Act of the National Assembly; )


Section 304 (1)

There shall be for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, a Judicial Service Committee of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the composition and functions of which shall be as provided in Part III of the Third Schedule to this Constitution.

(The FCT, Abuja will have a Judicial Service Committee. Its functions and components are contained in Part III of the 3rd Schedule of the 1999 Constitution; )


Section 304 (2)

The provisions of sections 154(1) and (3), 155, 156, 157(1) and (2), 158(1) and 159 to 161 of this Constitution shall apply with necessary modifications to the Judicial Service Committee of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

(The contents of sections 154(1) and (3), Sections 155, 156, 157 (1) and (2), section 158 (1) and 159 to 161 of the 1999 Constitution will apply when necessary to the Judicial Service Committee of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; )
